Partners for Excellence

Partners for Excellence is a program set up for families and businesses to donate money to the duPont Manual PTSA. The PTSA designates these funds to purchase needed equipment/educational materials for students. In 2007-2008, a much needed photocopier was purchased for the Guidance Office.

Last year we raised enough money to renovate the counselors’ offices at duPont Manual to make the area more comfortable and welcoming for students to visit with their counselors. We dedicated this revitalized space to Dr. Keeper’s tenure at Manual. There was also a need to upgrade the communication delivery technology in the building by installing new large flat screen monitors, two in each floor’s hallway and also the cafeterias at Manual. These monitors help keep our students, faculty and staff informed with scrolling announcements about school programs, activities, and events.

This year’s Partners for Excellence Program is geared toward raising funds for another worthwhile project. Our goal is to purchase thirty (30) new laptops and portable computer carts for the school. We need your support to maximize the use of technology at Manual while minimizing the space. This project allows technology to be used in a any number of settings. The uses are endless and the need is great.

Other funds, raised primarily through PTSA membership profits and the selling of Manual Ware, are designated for student, staff and community programs/projects. A sampling of such programs/projects includes College Night, College/Career Day, Project Graduation, Red/White Week activities, Cultural Diversity programs, Kentucky Kids Day, student scholarships, student health/safety programs and drives for the community.

The Partners for Excellence program requires monetary donations in order to be successful. Please consider participating in this worthwhile program.
